2017 Fall PR/Marketing Internship

Are you a media savvy, go-getting, problem solver with a creative mindset? Do you like to see things through from start to finish using your winning communication skills? Think you have what it takes to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic agency specializing in high end fashion, beauty, restaurant & lifestyle accounts?

If you answered “yes” to any of the above, an internship at The Gab Group is for you! We’re looking for people with enthusiastic personalities, articulate written and verbal communication skills and a detail-oriented mentality. We’re known in SoFla for getting people into the doors of restaurants, parties and theaters because of our successful design, PR and marketing techniques.

The agency specializes in developing cutting-edge brand identities for top-tier clients competing in the business, luxury, hospitality, product and celebrity arenas.

Daily duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist the creation of media and pitching lists
  • Media monitoring + clipping
  • Assist the research for new media initiatives
  • Assist the research and data mining for client events
  • Competitive research
  • Assist content development for social media
  • Opportunity to learn publicity systems
  • Assistance at special events
  • Street promotions for Gab clients
  • Intern Event Challenge Projects

  • Be available for evening events during sporadic weekdays and weekends for agency clients

 

This internship is unpaid; credit can be provided to your school.

Interns must commit to 2-3 full days (9:30AM-4:30PM) per week, for 3 month term. Interns who complete a successful internship program will be considered for full-time employment. Starting on September 4, 2017

Graphic Designer

We are searching for a full-time Graphic Designer for immediate hire and long-term employment.

Client projects frequently include logo and new brand identity, launch and creative campaigns, menu design, mobile apps, eblasts, website design, posters, flyers, packaging design and more.

We’re an open forum so if you’ve got mad design skills and abilities shout it from the rooftop.

Gabbers love to impress their clients whether we’re handling the initial brand concepts, taking brands to the next level or planning their events. When we’re gathering ideas, everyone participates. We’re eager to have a team player who is cooperative, a multi-tasker and visual thinker who is all sorts of awesome.

Successful applicants will work full-time and play a vital role in our design team. We’re seeking that special designer to add to team who can create full design campaigns, adapt quickly to new projects, and who never runs dry of enthusiasm for flipping the script. Qualified candidates must possess the following:

  • Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design, Fine Arts or equivalent work experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • 2-3 years of experience working in a marketing, branding or advertising industry or an equivalent combination of education and agency experience.
  • Strong typography and design skills.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Effectiveness in managing multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to churn out heightened productivity and efficiency in times of need and fast paced environments.
  • Out-of-the-box creative thinking skills coupled with a pragmatic and realistic approach.
  • High energy, positive team player who works well in a complex, fast-paced, changing environment
  • Desire to learn new things and approaches to design
  • Portfolio that shows strong brand development potential
